Communication:
- Goals from last semester:
- What goals were kept with:
-Meetings started on time, e-mails were sent from secretary, icebreakers, exec board did office hours, team building exercises, office hours posted on door, APO was the subject on emails
- What we didn't do:
- Failed at rush, no publicity chair, no chapter newsletter, didn't invite others to service projects, no open ended socials, no television ad, no active advisors
- Only one trust walk with pledges

- Goals for Fall Semester
- Internally
- Need an advisor, members have to come to meetings, midweek report from president, newspaper, update the website which Steve will work on, pro con box, get to know the brothers including inactive
- How would we enforce coming to meetings? if you don't go to meetings, you could be considered inactive.a limit then probation
- Externally
-More year round publicity, rush, go to local high schools and get our name out there, open houses, tours, more public activities, freshman orientation, help the freshman move, water stand for move in day, informational sessions with a social build in, signs plastered, individual mailing,
- Advisors
- We need scouting advisors, and faculty and staff advisors
- Possibilities
- Walmart lady in the tire station, Ken, Brad, Paige, Robyn, science professor, RD's, Robin Garret from the Women Center
- How do we get them involved?
- Sectional and Regional
- Contact with Jeff
- Regional meeting at Rutgers next semester

- National
- Torch and Trefoil
- Sharing of chapter bulletins with everyone
- Contributing news about the chapter to Torch and Trefoil
- Communicating problems with the national executive director to the national board of directors




Friendship
- Goals from last semester
- Had to go to five socials all semester, no inactive brothers at social functioning
- If you sign up, you have to go
- Twelve people at each event, at least 5 events per month, get to know you socials, stick to events
- 12 people usually didn't go, events were usually stuck to, there was 5 events per month, and need more get to know you socials
- Fall Semester
- Notebook is not needed
-    No one signed up
- Need people to sign up but keep in contact with them
- If you signed up to drive, you need someone to replace you with a car
- Other people can plan events if in the committee if Annemarie over sees it
- Make it a requirement that you have to plan something
- Must enforce socials
- Hold the social against them
- If you don't complete your hours this semester, you have to make it up for next semester


Leadership
- Membership Goals
- Last Semester: 15 hours of service and membership fees, must attend socials, must wear letters and pins during rush
- Fall Semester
- 20 hours for brothers, follow up on inactive brothers
- Pro/Con Box
- Go to meetings: have three cuts, your membership is in question; role book; formal; if you cant attend a meeting, you have to let the president know. A warning letter at 2 absences. Meghan have her cell phone on during meeting
- Announcements: put in a binder, put it in the minutes
- Pledging Goals
- Last Semester: Attend 3 Boy Scouts and 3 Brotherhood meetings, 15 hours of service, 5 committee hours, paddle, fundraiser, banner, service project, pass all tests
- Fall Semester
- 5 brotherhood meetings required
- Paddles: front by one week, back by another; paddle making social
- Meetings: first week: basic guidelines, learn a little: second week: talk to board
- Pledge officers: need to know each other; just have head contact person for pledges
- Extend the pledge meetings: hour for Pledge master, half hour for whatever else
- Study sessions- open invite
- Big/Lil:
o Bigs should interview lils, formal application process, appointed position, big/lil contract, impeachment process, learn the information: look up stuff themselves and review next week
- Brothers at meetings: no brothers at meetings, limit the number of brothers per meeting, pledges should go to 5 brotherhood meeting
- Hours should be done within the brotherhood,
- The pledge goal of 22 for the Spring Semester was not fulfilled
- Should have a deadline for when the posters should be up
- Organization fair is probably September 3,
- Rush will be from 9/3 to the next Thursday 9/11
- Inductions on Friday 9/12, wait for schedules to plan Big/Lil Ceremony
- Initiations is November 14


Service
- Goals for Fall Semester
- 20 hours for brothers, 3 boy scouts meeting instead of 1, mandatory for brothers to be in a committee if not on exec board, decided what they committee they are going to do, find replacement within 48 hours,
- 10 hours within the chapter, receive service hours if you set up, notebook, pledges meet with VPS three times individually, service race hours, evaluations, weekly service evaluations, arrive a half hour before service project, meeting time should reflect driving time, be honest with time, the person in charge have her phone on, every brother has to work on a service project
- A focus on service projects, a monthly focus: parks, walks, communities




Committees
- Rush
- Send invites to all dorms, flyers, reserve a table in Sykes, prices for personalized pens, glass case in Sykes, the weekend of the September 5-7th:  at least one social and service project open to the whole campus (bowling, dinner, game night, sports, movies, games), informal rushes
-Meetings: icebreakers, speeches are to be much more formal, organized speeches on the three cardinal principles and what is required from pledging

- Service
-Ideas: Girls Scouts, children hospitals, SPCA
- September: Parks; Marsh Creek, parks near West Chester, asking Boy Scouts if they want to come, Good Works
- October: Walks; Ridley Creek State Park, Downingtown,
- November: Community; YMCA, Salvation Army, Ronald McDonald House, Home and Sparrow, Orphanages, Thanksgiving Dinner, Soup Kitchen, Clown Squad, Homework Help, Dance a Thon

- Social
-Ideas
-Fellowship history night, getting to know you night, going to the gym tonight, secret buddy for the whole semester, sports nights, intramural teams, lunches/dinners, movie nights, Care bear idea, bingo, karaoke, welcome doors for pledges, dress up dinner once a month, bowling, mini golf, softball/baseball match, swimming, scavenger hunt, holiday party, lip syncing contest, homecoming, arts and crafts, road trips, icebreakers, group building, go carting, camping, snow tubing, paintball, luau party
- The VPF and the president both decide who is going to get the Spirit and Pledge Spirit Awards.
- Big/Lil Nights (7 a month)
